Conditions for obtaining service

  • The applicant (the patient of kidney failure) must have a Jordanian National Number.
  • The applicant (the patient of kidney failure) must not be a subscriber of a military insurance.
  • The donor must be covered under a military insurance.
  • A matching tissue type test.

Procedures

  1. The applicant shall submit a request letter to the Royal Hashemite Court for exemption from treatment fees.
  2. The exemption letter is referred to the Kidneys Division, in the Health Insurance Administration.
  3. The exemption letter and the enclosed documents will be verified for completeness. If the submitted documents are not complete, the applicant will be asked to update the required documents.  
  4. The Committee for the Support of Patients with Renal Failure will review the request and the enclosed documents. (The Committee consists of specialists from Al Bashir Hospital and Prince Hamza Hospital).
  5. The Committee decides on the request. In case the committee approves the request, a letter will be prepared for King Hussein Medical Center.
  6. The letter is then signed by the Manager of Technical Affairs and the Manager of the Health Insurance Administration.
  7. The signed letter is sent to King Hussein Medical Center.
  8. Copy the letter to the file of patient.
  9. The completed letter is handed over to the applicant.

Required Documents

  • A valid social study from the Ministry of Social Development.
  • A medical report prepared by the attending physician about the medical state of the patient stating the need for a transplant.
  • A medical report on the medical state upon renewal of the referral letter.

All patients with kidneys failure who are in need for a kidney transplant and holding a health insurance card under the meta levels of (Unable to pay, In-aid, Disabilities, Social Security Network, the Poorest of the Poor)
